Clarke McGuire 

Clarke McGuire proudly represented Canada as an International Judge and Presenter at the Rallye Rejviz. He first attended the competition in 2004 as a competitor and was later honoured with an invitation to return as a judge and a member of the “Realization Committee,” where he contributed to writing the competition scenarios.
With nearly 40 years of experience as an Advanced Care Paramedic with the BC Ambulance Service, Clarke had the pleasure of bringing numerous teams to the Czech Republic, connecting with teams from around the world, and gaining valuable insights from the competition each year. His colleague, Alex Mattes, took on the role of team manager, overseeing practice and study schedules, travel logistics, and fundraising efforts for the teams’ nonprofit Paramedic Society.

"Now at age 70 I can look back on an excellent career, my wonderful wife and two kids and a grandson. It is an honour and a privilege to have worked with these teams and to travel to Europe on behalf of Canada, our profession, and our sponsors. ​Tyrone Trotter

Tyrone has been with BC Emergency Health Services for over 20 years, spending the majority of that time working in Victoria, where they were born and raised. Tyrone served as both a Primary and Advanced Care Paramedic before stepping into their current role as a Paramedic Supervisor.

​Sarah Shaw

​Sarah Shaw is a Critical Care Paramedic based out of Prince George, British Columbia, Canada. During her 18 year career with BC Emergency Health Services she has operated in various roles including Paramedic Chief, Dispatcher, Community Paramedic, Advanced Care Paramedic, and most recently as part of the Critical Care Flight Crew. Sarah also trains with tactical/medical teams both regionally and internationally and enjoys practicing medicine in austere environments. On her days off you will most likely find Sarah exploring with Echo, her K-9 partner in crime, or at 30,000 feet on her way to the next adventure.
